Monday Must Haves

Writer's picture: Lydia RyalsLydia Ryals

Hey hey Monday!

It should be noted that, as I type this, I have Hosea's vomit in my hair. That's where I'm at and I wouldn't expect anything less from my day. I get to work from home on Monday, so my day is spent being momma and events coordinator. If you were here with me, you'd see me placing a catering order with Chic-Fil-A while simultaneously propping a bottle in my babe's mouth with my foot.

With the messy side in mind, I wanted to take a moment to share my top 5 favorite things right now! Every girl, momma or wife or single gal, needs some favorites in her life. Favorites warm a special place in our hearts, do they not? Here are my Must-Haves as of this Monday morn:

#1 For your Face - IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye

I have some serious dark circles. So bad that I was terrified of showing Zach my naked face when we were dating. When he went on a trip with my family for the first time, I would do my makeup before bed and I would set my alarm for 5 am to touch it up before he woke up. OMG, y'all. I wish I could go back and tell myself to chill.

As you can see, my circles and I are cool these days. I’m always on the search for the best products to help a dark-circles-girl out and my current obsession is this full-coverage concealer. A little goes a long way and, after two friends gave it an enthusiastic thumbs-up, I decided to indulge myself. I use shade 14.5 Light Buff. Grab yourself a bottle at Ulta or by visiting this link

#2 For your Wardrobe - Farris 11 Clog Sandals

Talk about my most-loved purchase this summer. These shoes have gotten so much attention! They bring a cute pop of color to any outfit and the closed-toe option is perfect for fall! These are $40 on Qupid right now and they're well worth the investment!

#3 For your Heart - Coffee with Andi

This podcast challenges me with the most gentle and loving spirit every time a new episode comes out. Andi and her guests have this way of speaking to the deepest parts of living out a life for Christ in today's social climate. I've laughed and cried and have been left in contemplative silence after listening to Coffee with Andi.

I don't just recommend this, I challenge you to make it a part of your weekly routine.

I listen to it driving to work or cleaning the house. It's well worth your time.

If you decide to check it out or are already a dedicated listener, let me know! I'd love to know what's moved you most about Andi's podcast.

#4 For your Home - Room Essentials Plastic Dinnerware

Do you know what drives me crazy? Mix-matched dishes. After nearly three years living with Zach and using his array of inherited dinnerware, I finally chunked them ALL! This influenced a very dramatic and drawn-out victory dance as he stared at me in the kitchen.

I was perusing Target in an attempt to escape for two baby-free seconds when I came across a display of Room Essentials plastic dinner pieces. They carry dinner plates, salad bowls, soup bowls and large 16oz cups in a multitude of precious colors at only 79 cents apiece! I grabbed 12 of each item, (excluding the salad bowls), in grey, pink and pale teal. They are dishwasher and microwave safe and Zay even tested their endurance by banging them on the floor. I'm pretty pumped about my $26ish purchase of all new dishes!

#5 For Productivity - DayDesigner Free Lifestyle and Productivity Pages

If you've known me for a little while, you may have noticed that I am all about productivity and life organization. My life doesn't always reflect this, but it sure does make my heart happy. My favorite planner is designed by DayDesigner and I would love to share more about their planner features with you if you're interested! But, today, I wanted to tell you about their free printables! I LOVE THESE! I use the Daily Page, editing it in my computer each day to help me focus on the tasks ahead.

They have free pages to help you refocus and organize in just about every area you can imagine. You can find downloads for grocery shopping and meal planning, Intentional Living, Self Care Habits and Password Organizing. Check out the complete list here! https://daydesigner.com/collections/printable-library

All my Monday Love, Lyd
